Richmond writer V. Mark Covington is the author of, Bullfish, Heavenly Pleasure, Montezuma’s Revenge and Homemade Sin (to be released winter 2011) His play Shakespeare in the Trailer Park. Hussey Payne, apprentice voodoorine wants to give up voodoo and pursue a medical career but after turning a race-losing Greyhound into a race- winning zombie-dog she finds someone is turning zombie making into a very profitable business.

2012 Montezuma’s Revenge

In 1521, when Cortes returned to Mexico intent of plundering the Aztec gold. But when they arrived they found the treasure of Montezuma had disappeared. There are many theories of what happened to the treasure, this is not one of them. But, what if Montezuma II escaped with the gold and headed north to bury his gold, along with a strange crystal box, under a lake in Utah. And what if, five hundred years later Ricky and Lucy Poot, aided by Mexican spy ‘Dirty’ Sanchez, discover Montezuma’s gold and Montezuma himself in suspended animation.  And what if Montezuma awakes with a mission, to use the gold to restore his Empire and usher in the Mayan prediction of a paradigm on December 21, 2012. The trouble is Montezuma has only a short time to rebuild the Aztec Pyramids and save the world.

Bullfish

When artifacts are discovered from Noah’s Ark in the 21st century they lead noted archeologist Winward Ho on a strange journey. Along the way he will discover the secret personal belongings of Jesus; a pair of Nike sandals, a mermaid necklace and a pair of tickets to Jesus Christ Superstar. Ho is propelled on a ‘sacred cow tipping’ adventure that comically explores the origin mermaids, Minotaurs, lost continents and found love.
