J. H. Sked lives in London, England, with several hundred books and a long-suffering flatmate.
When not writing, she reads, paints, works at a day job and is completing a university degree.
Every now and then she finds time to sleep.
WolfSong is the first book in a planned trilogy. Basement Blues is a collection of short stories, and the title story introduces the characters from the Blue Moon Detective Agency, a planned series of Urban Paranormal books.
Basement Blues & Other Stories
Basement Blues
Billy’s client has a couple of problems.
She’s dead, for starters.
She smells bad.
And her laundry equipment is trying to kill her all over again.
Saving the (undead) girl shouldn’t be this hard..
Dim
Fear of the dark is elevated into a tangible evil in this heart-stopping tale of horror.
Pushing Janey
A man haunted by his past – but is Phan hunted, or is he hunting?
Three species. One country. A vicious murder and a village of the dead. A soldier desperate for vengeance at any price.
Amber is sworn to uphold justice on the Crescent.
But as grief and rage drive her to the edge of insanity, she may no longer be capable of choosing between justice and personal vengeance – and may the gods help any being that stands in her way.
If you plan to join this ride, bring your sword. Sanity is optional.
J.H. Sked’s Cause:
Wolves and Humans (http://www.wolvesandhumans.org)
This is a cause very close to my heart. The organisation is a UK based charity dedicated to the conservation of Europe’s large carnivores – wolves, bears and lynx, species that were almost totally wiped out and are beginning to make a comeback thanks to efforts by organisations like this one.
Without our wildlife, the world would be a sad and barren place indeed.
