David Prosser born (MYOB) worked for many years as a Local Government Officer before taking early retirement due to health problems.
Finding it difficult to talk to people as a result of the illness he found himself in the situation of being housebound most of the time. In an effort to prove to himself he still had a value he started The Buthidars which is an all denomination, all colour, all creed group determined to better the world by Hugging. There is a site dedicated to this that welcomes all people who feel the World is better by forgetting our differences whilst celebrating the individuality of all peoples.
The next step was to remind the world of Edwardian style and beg the designers to recreate it in exchange for clothing that displays too much of next weeks washing. Let’s dress with some dignity !
Often heard are the words, life begins at 40. David is trying to show that life can get a kick-start at 60 too. He chose this age to sit and write his first novel, My Barchester Diary, a fictional look at the life of the gentry.
Book 2 which is also in diary form is a prequel telling of the days between gaining his title and now, when he performed the duties of an unofficial envoy to Her Majesty. That is well on the way to being edited and may be the next in a line of books he hopes will entertain and make him rich !
The third book was written to pay his solicitors bills after the cat sued him for using it’s real name in the books, one penalty was the cat (Oscar) demanding his own Blog. This third book is a sequel to book 1 and continues the story of Edna, the most disliked woman in the village, amongst other things that happen in his life.
David’s Cause:
The cause that I donate to is Cancer Research UK. Statistics show that we will all know someone who suffers from cancer in our lifetime and yet this is a vastly underfunded branch of research. I lost my mother to melanoma, my father had cancer of the throat, my sister had a form of leukemia and my wife is currently battling pancreatic cancer. I have a friend recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Some have a great success rate nowadays and some haven’t improved their statistics for survival in ten years. We need far more research that can save lives worldwide.

David’s cause is good and timely. Too many people are suffering from cancer and not enough is done about what amounts, these days, to an epidemic. And buying his books is going to be quite rewarding, since not only you are contributing to a good cause, but you will greatly enjoy these very funny and highly original stories! I have read them all and got some as gifts that are sure to cheer!
Dear David,
You are an amazing author and a very dear friend. The world is blessed because you are in it spreading hugs and wit around the place! I am a better person for having known you. I wish you great success with your books and your cause. Having read your first two books I can say to all potential readers, they are a must read for sure. I giggled until I teared up!
Big Hugs,
Patricia Carrigan aka:Spidey to you!
