Alva earned her Bachelors of Science from the University of Illinois, and holds a Masters of Education degree from Northern Illinois University. Her previous teaching experience for more than sixteen years and a life-long passion for writing for kids is her motivation. Her days in the classroom were the real beginnings for becoming a children’s writer today.

Alva is the founder of Three Wishes Publishing Company. As an award-winning children’s author, Alva continues to pursue her writing and passion for children and books. Alva’s stories engage, empower, and excite the young reader. Illustrations by Patricia Krebs, make the stories come to life! She believes everyone needs to be a “LINK TO LITERACY!
